v-braces2We look forward to meeting you during your first visit to our office. Your complimentary initial examination will consist of us taking digital diagnostic photos and a 3-Dimensional X-ray to be used in our office for diagnosis, a thorough examination by our Orthodontic Specialist, Dr. Grant Snider, and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 60-minute visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if there are indications for orthodontic treatment and if this is the proper time to begin treatment. We will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the concern, a written summary of the findings, and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment.  Additionally, we will also follow-up with your general dentist regarding our findings and treatment recommendations.

During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.

  • Is there a condition present that orthodontics can address?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption ,or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures / orthodontic appliances will be used to correct the problem?
  • Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  • Is a referral to another specialist (periodontist, oral surgeon, endodontist, etc.) needed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • How does my insurance work?
  • What are my payment options?

We will be able to answer these questions and any questions you may have about treatment during the initial examination. We feel it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.
